Laser treatment : Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind When Having Laser

Helpful Tips When Considering Laser

Laser treatment has had some bad press in the past and this is mainly due to untrained therapists, badly maintained machines as well as pushing boundaries to try and achieve result quickly as opposed to the subscribed timeframe.

The fact remains however that laser is still one of the most effective permanent hair removal treatments out there.

Laser treatment: here are a few handy hints:

What is the most popular area to be treated?

Women: Facial hair, bikini underarms and legs for women.

Men: The back and neck area, and in some cases their beard.

Laser hair removal works very well for the treatment of folliculitis (ingrown hair), so many men come for this treatment as it helps minimise the bumps caused by folliculitis.

What can I expect after the treatment?

Immediately after a treatment, there may be some redness and/or mild swelling, this is completely normal and usually subsides within a couple of hours maximum.

How many treatments will I need, and how often?

We recommend that 8-12 treatment should be done (this does, however, vary according to different makes of a laser).

On the body, the treatments are done over a period 4-6 weeks, and on the face once every 4 weeks.
