Snooze Control: Or is it too many late nights with no sleep at all!

Hit Snooze Control

Snooze control, really? Life is crazy busy with days just flashing by and before you know it’s once again the end of the year. The stress and fatigue of the past months accumulate and it soon becomes very easy to be tempted with an afternoon nap or even a sneaky little ‘power nap’ at the office.

Snooze control, a.k.a napping

The problem is that with these ‘little naps’ you actually start to disrupt your sleeping pattern and routine. This, in turn, has a long term knock-on effect equating to a disturbance in your quality of sleep at night.

Here are 8 tips to improve your sleep:

1. Don’t nap during the day

2. Avoid caffeine, nicotine and alcohol too close to bedtime

3. Exercise early and often

4. Limit food and drink prior to bedtime

5. Get loads of fresh air and sunshine during the day

6. Establish a bedtime routine and stick to it

7. Keep your bedroom for sleeping, no electronic devices

8. Have a comfortable bed

It is important for your brain to achieve REM sleep and for you to have undisturbed sleep in order to wake up feeling refreshed and revitalised.
